ABOUT 

Marcus E. Davis (he/him) is a Chicago​-based interdisciplinary artist with a critical interest in Black joy and queered creativity. Marcus (AKA Africa Hot) leverages music, images, language and humor to explore new ways of being and seeing in the world. His work has been featured in Blacklines, Windy City Times, Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun-Times and the Chicago Reader. Marcus received his bachelor's degree in Visual Ethnography from DePaul University.

In addition to conceptual photography, Marcus specializes in capturing live documentation, dance, theater and commercial work.
